Be "Someone" for "Somebody"

I was thinking about my previous blog
and the acts of valor that were
discussed on the program. One
of the events really stuck out to me.

I don't recall the gentleman's name
but he was in a battle against the
Chinese. The commander was
determined to take a strategic hill.
The U.S. had suffered a huge loss
in the attempt to take this hill. The

Thank You! to all the servicemen and women who have and who currently protect our freedoms.

This Memorial Day weekend I was
able to catch a program that shared
the stories of a few of the soldiers
who have received the Congressional
Medal of Honor.

I listened to the accounts that these
brave and selfless men did to have
the medal awarded to them. As I did,
I was taken back by their bravery and
dedication to each other. Most were

Many of you know that I have been
a career Firefighter/EMT for over a
decade. I just recently responded
to a call where the patient needed
some help.

We (fire dept.) entered her home
where she lived with her husband.
We were taken back to her room
and found her conscious and alert.

The room was dark and she spoke
with a whisper. I spoke with her
and she shared her complaint, that
her chest hurt. We started evaluating
