My first breath was taken in Wilhelmshaven, Germany in 1949. The son of Yorkshireman Bill Pocklington and German actress Anne-Kaete Pocklington I learned to treat people as people not as a national stereotype.
My mother lived wellness by asking "is this medication to mask or to cure. I need to listen to my body – not to mask its message”.
My father lived 'financial awareness' as in "Income one pound, expenses one pound sixpence.Happiness. Income one pound, expenses nineteen shillings sixpence, Misery".
Both philosophies served me well.
In the Munich Air Disaster of 2/6/58, my 3248th day the ‘Flowers of Manchester’ were taken. No more RAF for me. I had to learn "Football taught by Matt Busby".
Never being quite good enough served me well. I played in Championship teams in England and in Germany and finally gave back to the sport in the U.S. through youth coaching - and learned about human nature through refereeing.
With an Honors. degree in Mathematics and a Masters in Computing I still had to leave friends, family and the England I loved. Unable to secure employment, except on a chicken farm, I arrived in Germany and did Medical Informatics research – eventually completing my doctorate.
This taught that doing what you love is never work - even if it is paid employment. But God had other plans in mind.
An eventual 'Glass Ceiling' – it is not only a female experience - meant us looking for opportunities in an English-speaking country.
One day a lecture on the potential of analyzing data from multiple hospitals served by one data center inspired me. A year later a phone call came from America and of we went again. To a land we have found out does not exist. We built organizations in Europe and Japan by respecting cultural differences and working toward goals that could only be achieved by a team working in harmony. All was good!
When we became big enough to be taken over, my love became a J-O-B which nearly killed me. I was saved by my son and "Rich Dad, Poor Dad” – he said I was Poor Dad! "Child IS Father to the Man".
RDPD led to "Cashflow Quadrant" and the action of investing yearly in one professional seminar given by people who have attained wealth. I highly recommend this ‘financial intelligence’ road map.
This, and a 2:00 AM infomercial, led me to the cashflow industry. I learned from the ACFA, and then served as a Chapter President. I found that top earners always gave advice and guidance. Success demands we 'pay it forward' and we 'pay back'.
I learned different ways to finance business growth. I learned it is not 'Cash is King'. It is CASH FLOW that keeps people paid for production and is the best predictor of future worth.
Always learning, I failed in an MLM plan – and found another stereotype that is just wrong! ALL, I repeat, ALL successful people put people first. My problem was that I could not properly understand or explain the pay plan.
Always interacting with people, I joined networking groups and learned the business of doing business by listening to professionals giving and getting business. Once again success was a result of giving, not of taking.
My business coach gave me a business intelligence reading list. A book every two weeks soon became two a week. Life is great that way.
Through Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich I grew again. His techniques and my subconscious mind led to 8/8/2005 when my mission to increase health wealth and wealth health became clear. M7Enterprises was born!
As T&GR teaches, the tools to execute have found me. Market America’s people power and product integrity bring wellness; Business financing and business internet solutions accelerate growth, employing more people; Real Estate investor solutions give houses back their souls to become homes for families; and network marketing industry servanthood helps 'salt of the earth' people the mindset to create their own future.
